Muscle monitoring is a gentle technique where the therapist uses your arm (usually) by holding slight pressure and the client’s muscle either holds or releases – giving feedback to the therapist. See the picture on the right.
As your body guides the balance through the muscle monitoring, you can be assured the best correction will be provided to assist you on your path to peace and fulfilment.
Your arm will only let me do corrections that are safe for you.
Vibrational Kinesiology is a wonderful nurturing mode of Kinesiology that brings in the healing power of sound, acupressure, flower essences, emotional affirmations and sending of energy.
Physiological Kinesiology – as it’s name states – has a very physical focus. Ideal for aches and pains and assisting with recovery from injury and illness.
Fundamentals Kinesiology is a comprehensive blend of modalities that enhance wellness for both physical and emotional issues.
Neurological Kinesiology specifically looks at nerve pathways that has a powerful influence on our emotions and reactions as well as physical issues that stem from interruptions to the flow within the nervous system.
Brain Integration is a major focus of this component of kinesiology and it effects every aspect of our lives. Ever had the experience of your mind going totally blank in times of stress? Or, extreme reaction to an event and you don’t understand why? Brain Integration is about allowing access to all parts of your brain so you can get the best out of all life experiences without old habits and memories blocking your potential.
Nutritional Kinesiology assists the body to absorb the nutrients you are taking in and helps reduce the negative effects from toxins we are constantly exposed to within our environment and the foods we eat. It can assist in nutrition-related disorders like Diabetes Type 2 and Candida.
Hormonal Kinesiology – working more specifically on the Endocrine System to assist the body in coping with the stresses in life – for example Adrenal Stress for the individual who is always on the go or Diabetes Type 2 where the stress usually comes from our diet and lifestyle choices but can also result from a poor functioning thyroid.
Musculo-Skeletal Kinesiology – The focus of this component is addressing pain and muscular function. Excellent for assisting with neck and shoulder pain as well as hip, pelvic and knee problems – that is any joint issues!
Distance work can be a bizarre concept to consider but the work is very powerful. Not everyone feels comfortable with this process but I have several clients that do not live local to me and this can be their most convenient way of receiving a session. Some distant client locations include the USA, UK, Zambia and Tanzania, East Arnhem Land, Tasmania, Christmas Island (Indian Ocean) and regional Western Australia. To paraphrase a couple of these clients, they wouldn’t waste their hard earned money if it they didn’t feel the difference.
Please also know that I am constantly learning new techniques and modalities within and outside the Kinesiology community.
Given the dynamics of science learning new things and debunking old ideas on how our body functions, the learning is usually fascinating and sometimes (just a bit – or a lot) mind-blowing! An example of this is, back in the 1980’s when I was studying Nursing, the scientists knew there was a thing called glial cells in the brain and we were taught that they were basically “fillers”. Since then, the scientists came to understand that it is the different variety of glial cells that make it possible for our brain to function!
Currently, the narrative is that the extra DNA that exists in our body is called “Junk DNA”. (I only heard a scientist saying this on the radio a couple of weeks ago in March, 2021). Probably/hopefully, in the not-too-distant future, we’ll be taught that our body doesn’t contain ANY “fillers” or “Junk” anything!
